Job Description:
PLACE OF WORK: We have three (3) treatment rooms available for rent / sublet within the nicely appointed Somerville Medical Arts Building. We are recreating a friendly, warm and healing environment. We want to uphold this exceptional reputation as we incorporate new practitioners into the space and out source your services to corporate events/Health fair events, Spa parties, Salon/Spas. We are looking for responsible, respectful, and experienced Massage Therapists , Bodyworkers, Reiki Practitioners, and Rolfers . Rent and sublet fees include all utilities: water, sewer, garbage, electricity, water cooler / refreshments , internet and phone. There is a communal reception desk area with a comfortable waiting / recovery area and (1) bathroom. Common Storage area for linens, lotions, products . One (1) room for rent - tenant is responsible for linens, treatment specific supplies and or equipment. Two (2) treatment rooms will be furnished and supplies will be made available to all subcontractors being issued a 1099. Office will be open 7 Days a week and all tenants/subcontractors must abide by set office hours: Mon-Fri: 9:00 to 9:00, Saturday 9:00-6:00 and Sunday 10:00-4:00. You can work as little or as much as you like scheduling within an on-line booking program to secure your treatment room times, and review subcontractor opportunities etc..
REQUIREMENTS: All practitioners will:
1] submit a resume with three (3) professional references

2] provide proof of professional liability insurance e.g., AMTA, AMBP

3] appropriate state certification / license and or National Certification

4] be willing to sit for National Certification exam if applicable
-
5] be willing [not mandatory] to travel to clients location. Be part of a team in the Mobile Massage and Spa industry [this is not mandatory to sublet]

6] Have regular access to a computer when not in the office

7] Create, manage and make viewable an on-line appointment calendar

8] Have a cellular or smartphone device
-
9] Must have experience and or a client following. JOB OVERVIEW: Responsible to deliver excellence in quality to all clients, attending to any immediate needs while in facility. Maintain cleanliness throughout shift, ability to communicate with proper grammar in English, ability to provide legible communication, Each session will be paid for at the front reception desk . Each sublet practitioner or therapist will be paid as a 1099 contractor unless arranged and agreed to otherwise. There is currently NO washer or dryer on site, and each practitioner will be responsible for laundering their own sheets at this time. Once all rooms are regularly occupied a laundry service will be contracted. We do general advertising for the wellness center and website. However, each practitioner is encouraged to do their own advertising and marketing. There will be a brochure display outside of the office in the common area to place your brochures/business cards. If your clients call the office to book your services, we will book the appointment and you will be notified of the booking. All tenant(s) and subcontractors must abide by a Code of Professional Ethics, there will be a published menu of service offerings with prices. Each candidate will go through an interview process and proof of items listed under REQUIREMENTS will be needed at time of interview.
